Randy is a recognized figure throughout the Finger Lakes region and has been involved in the New York Wine Industry for most of the past decade. He is a degreed chemist and has completed Enology and Viticulture coursework. He has worked with several notable wineries in the Finger Lakes and has produced several vintages in boutique style quantities. Randy also writes about the wine industry for a variety of publications, including Rochester Women magazine, Times of Wayne County, Finger Lakes Wine Gazette and the Wine Industry Advisor in Napa, CA. 
We believe in producing high-quality wines made from locally sourced grapes, with the vintage and variety clearly indicated on the label. Our wines are not cut, topped, or blended with other wine grapes. Our goal is to preserve and celebrate the great natural taste and terroir of the Finger Lakes. That is what makes us unique.

The Agness Wine Cellars venture grew out of a joint effort with the help of family and friends along with special thanks to Paul Brock of Silver Thread support, and the many Finger Lakes winemakers including Morten Hallgren of Ravines who after tasting our wines encouraged us to start making wine commercially in New York State. With 30 Medals in less than three years, it's amazing that so many after tasting Agness Wine Cellars Riesling's first question is where can I buy some?
