Is Recent Growth in Celebrity Wines just Trendy?

Owning a vineyard and producing wine isn't anything new or suddenly fashionable. As in centuries past, the most famous figures of ancient Greece and Rome - the leading philosophers, playwrights, military generals and politicians preferred to have wines made for their own consumption. So it not so surprising that celebritiesof today, who have generated vast amounts of wealth, would have the ability to start or collaborate in opening a winery or vineyard which requires a significant investment.
